Benson comes to visit

We had a busy, busy weekend full of family, graduations, and parties. On top of having Grandma here, Jesse's sis and her family came to town for the weekend. We did a lot of running and playing. It was a fun weekend and we were so glad to have the time with Jesse's nephew. With the limited time I had to work really hard to make an impression. Popsicles were my method.

Katie Graduates from Preschool

My baby has graduated preschool. She had a wonderful family turnout to the event. Jack entertained Benson with his gameboy while waiting for the ceremony to begin. Katie was so tickled to have her Great-Grandma Moore, Silver and PaPa, Aunt Kisha, Holly, and Charlotte, and cousin Benson come to her special night. It's been a week full of graduations.

Grandma visits

Grandma Moore is staying with us this week due to back to back weekend graduations. We've had the best time so far. She and Katie have had a lot of fun visiting and getting more acquainted with each other. What special memories we're creating.

New Camera

Super excited about the camera I got as a graduation gift (well really the camera I bought with money I got as a graduation gift). I've really wanted one for a long time but it just wasn't in the budget. My goal this summer is to figure this bad-boy out. I think I am going to take a continuing ed class starting next week, hit some summer seminars and workshops and practice, practice, practice all summer long. So there will hopefully be lots more, better quality photos on future blogs. Even if you don't notice a difference in the quality, humor me and say you do;)Katie is really the only one who has been around to be my subject so don't think I'm showing any sort of partiality for children.

School Friends

Christy, Kyndall, and Kala are three of my closest friends from my SLP program. I will miss these girls as we are all going our separate directions now. I hate change :(

So tired

Holly came for a sleepover last night. At 11:15 she was wide awake and didn't go back down till 1:30. Since she was up at 7:30 am she was really exhausted by 10:30 and just fell asleep on the couch. She's so cute!!!

I did it!!!

My mom and dad were beginning to think I would never get done I'm sure.

I couldn't have done any of this without a very supportive husband and kids. They sacrificed so much for me to accomplish my goal.

I was so happy to have so many important people here with me. It meant a lot that my relatives came from so far. This is my Aunt Missy from Kerrville.
Beautiful in-laws who traveled here and then went to work to make the day beautiful. I so appreciate them everyday.

May 9, 2009, just 18 short years since my first graduation I finally graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Lots of family came to town to attend my graduation along with some wonderful friends who are like family. Several out of town friends came to the house after graduation to have dinner with my family. It was a wonderful, no wait, a perfect day. Jesse worked so hard make everything nice for me. I felt so spoiled. What a wonderful graduation day.

Smokin'

Jesse was so excited on Saturday that he finally had an excuse to fill his smoker full of meat. The poor guy smoked chickens and brisket amidst the torrential rainfall we experienced Saturday. He stood outside fanning his flames while being drenched. He is such a sweet husband.
